This roofing contractor was established over 30 years ago and serves all Southeast Florida including the Keys. Sixty percent of revenue is from commercial business, and forty percent is from residential, which provides meaningful end-market diversification. Forty-five percent of the business is reroofing and repairs while the remainder is construction of commercial facilities. The business is comprised of a strong referral network built through long-standing relationships with satisfied customers and property managers. The company is moving away from the commercial side and concentrating more on the residential side, which demands a higher margin driven by mandatory insurance and state requirements. This shift in residential will continue and has resulted in reduced revenue and increased profitability. No customer concentration exists. The Company has achieved good performance without reliance on storm projects.
Work is done in house and by licensed subcontractors. The Company has deep knowledge of the code requirements in their service area. Another barrier to entry is the ability to provide all necessary materials by approved suppliers. The Owner/Founder is preparing for retirement. Field managers and
experienced office personnel operate the organization on a day-to-day basis.
