Eugene Gottesman, Chairman and Founder
Mr. Gottesman is involved in a broad range of M&A transactions covering manufacturing, distribution, service firms, retail chains, and more throughout North America and overseas.
Prior to founding Gottesman Company, Mr. Gottesman was President and Founder of New York Yellow Pages, Inc., which was sold in 1985 to Southwestern Bell Telephone Company (now AT&T). Other experience includes: Revlon Company – Product Manager; Sulfur-8 Chemical Co. – Vice President; RH Donnelly Co. – Sales; Seneca Textile Co. – Assistant Converter.
Mr. Gottesman currently serves on New York City Board of Directors of the Boy Scouts of America. He sponsors Gottesman Communication and Technology Center (Gottcom) at the Ten Mile River Scout Camps in New York State.
Mr. Gottesman is a former member and officer of the Executives Association of New York; a current member of the 100 Club (NYC) – Past VP; and a member of the Association for Cooperate Growth, International Business Brokers Association, M&A Source, and Better Business Bureau.
Mr. Gottesman has spoken before all manner of trade associations and been interviewed on radio and television. He has also written a business column for the New York Post newspaper titled Business Advisor. He was the creator and moderator of the New York Business Forum cable TV show, and also was an instructor in business at New York University, teaching “How to Start and Run Your Own Business.”
Mr. Gottesman is currently an active member of Rotary International, the worldwide service organization operating on both local and national levels.
Mr. Gottesman is a graduate of the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics and a major in Accounting. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Business School Honorary Society, a licensed New York State Real Estate Broker, and a Lifetime CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) with the IBBA, the International Business Brokers Association.
Mr. Gottesman is world traveled, an Eagle Scout, and serves as Chairman of the Silver Beaver Award Committee for the Greater New York Councils Boy Scouts of America.
Lou Sudholz, CEO
Mr. Sudholz is the Chief Executive Officer of the Gottesman Company. Since joining the company, he has held the positions of Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Executive Vice President. His primary responsibilities are involved with the mergers and acquisitions field activities of the global organization.
Prior to joining Gottesman, Mr. Sudholz was with Reuben H. Donnelley, a company of Dun and Bradstreet, where his was the Vice President and General Manager of the National Yellow Pages Division. During his career with Donnelley, Mr. Sudholz held a succession of line and staff sales management and marketing positions.
Mr. Sudholz serves as President of the 77th Infantry Division Reserve Officers Association. He also serves as a Governor of Westchester Hills Golf Club.
Mr. Sudholz served in the US Army with a military career spanning thirty years, combining Active Duty and Reserve assignments. He retired in the rank of Colonel.
Mr. Sudholz earned a BBA in Business Administration from Hofstra University. He is a graduate of the US Army’s Command and General Staff College and the National Defense University.
Mr. Sudholz is married with four children and seven grandchildren. He is an avid golfer.
